The food at Skool is fish-focused fusion with a Japanese twist, yet remains distinctly San Franciscan because the food is sourced from local sustainable sources. All of the dishes were meticulously prepared and their attention to detail extended to the heaters and blankets for the fur-less patrons on the patio. They definitely deserve extra credit points!
Their most famous dish is their creamy and amazing pillowy uni flan served inside a jar that is topped with uni chunks, ikura eggs, and fleur de sel salt served with perfectly toasted crostinis.
Also very notable is the squid ink spaghettina which is more like udon with a savory seafood broth consisting of squid ink noodles served with Monterey squid, local shrimp, a garlic tomato compote, Japanese red curry, seaweed butter, enoki mushrooms, shiso, and a lemongrass dashi-broth.
The patio is very spacious and they have doggie water bowls for the furry patrons as well as heaters and blankets for the furless patrons.
Additionally, Skool has a “Yappy Days” promotion with select discounted food and beverages as well as edibles for your fur babies.
