Pitfire Pizza is an artisan pizza company that began in Costa Mesa and is quickly expanding across Southern California. They serve pizza with fresh ingredients and were named by Pizza Today magazine as the Independent Pizzeria of the Year.
Their most popular pizzas are the burrata pizza consisting of burrata cheese, tomato sauce, caramelized onion, hazelnut, pesto drizzle and arugula, as well as their take on the margherita pizza.
And nothing compliments pizza like beer. At Pitfire Pizza’s Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA) location they have a Brewery Night on every third Thursday of the month where they showcase a local brewery and offer $2 pours from 5PM to 10PM.
The only negatives about the DTLA location is that beer is not allowed on the patio and they do not have their own parking.
