MacDuffs opened its doors in 2010 when three Highlander brothers from Aberdeen, Scotland opened up the gastropub to serve those who were visiting the “highlands” of California/Nevada. Delicious food, great alcohol selection, and a dog-friendly patio make MacDuff’s a destination when visiting South Lake Tahoe.

The buffalo wings and the Reuben sandwich are delicious. Also, people say that the Shepherd’s Pie is William Wallace-approved!

Also, located diagonally across the street along the western side of the T-intersection of Fremont Avenue and Sandy Way is a little park where you can take your four-legged children to relieve themselves.

“2 Charlies mean a moderate dog-friendly area.”
