Hotel Indigo is a boutique hotel brand of InterContinental Hotels Group, which operates InterContinental Hotels, Holiday Inn, and Crowne Plaza Hotels. So, expect great amenities such as modern furniture, in-room Keurig coffee machines, and Aveda-brand toiletries. But what separates the Hotel Indigo brand from other hotels is their “paw-some” dog policy.
There are no added charges for bringing pets and their pet policy is simple. There is a maximum of two pets (of any size) per guest room and dogs are allowed everywhere in the facility including the lobby and the rooftop bar on the 9th floor that includes a nighttime bar and an artificial grass pet relief area.
Another great thing about the hotel is its location. Technically in the East Village, it is mere blocks from the Gaslamp Quarter and Petco Park. In fact, from the 9th floor rooftop bar, you can actually see the stadium!
Due to its prime urban location, the hotel only offers valet parking at nearly $40. Butt, butt, butt (pun intended with the extra -t), don’t let valet parking deter you from staying here.
Approximately 3 blocks to the northwest along the north side of Market Street is an Ace Parking structure (614 Market Street) that charges an hourly fee of $1 with a maximum fee of $15. The parking structure is bounded by two one-way streets, 6th Avenue to the west that is southbound and 7th Avenue to the east that is northbound.
So if you are thinking about a vacation with your furbaby in downtown San Diego, book a reservation with Hotel Indigo, which should be rebranded as Hotel In-Dogs-Go!
