Golden Road Brewery (technically not in Glendale) is located in an industrial strip of Los Angeles that is sandwiched between the Los Angeles River to the west and railroad tracks followed by Glendale to the east. An added treat is watching the trains roar by!
Having been open since 2011, this brewery has really taken off. In fact, you will find their eco-friendly canned pints in local stores across Southern California. Famous for their Point The Way IPA, Golden Road also offers unique limited release beers such as an Almond Milk Stout to the Hudson Porter named after the son of one of the founders.
A constantly changing food menu is offered that has many vegetarian options. Everything from pulled pork sandwiches and burgers for the carnivores to a hearts of palm ceviche and a tofu banh mi for the herbivores.
Dogs are welcome at the small doggy deck or in the patio area. However, they are not allowed on the patio area where artificial grass was installed.
*You may want to phone ahead because Golden Road can get really packed and no one likes a grumpy dog in the car!
“2 Charlies mean a moderate dog-friendly area.”
